Position Purpose:

This position will lead a group of multiple analytics experts (3+) on the Customer Experience team which is responsible for advocating for the customer within the organization. We do that by leveraging data to understand our customers and their experiences obsessing over great customer experiences, identifying where we have opportunities to get better, and justifying investment in these areas. We also measure the impact of our efforts and track our customers' sentiment towards their interactions with The Home Depot experiences and our competitors.

The position will be responsible for:

• Developing and enabling a team of high performing Sr. Data Analysts

• Collaborating with customer experience product teams and cross-functional partners to understand their business, the customer and the data domain, collaborate on strategic direction, and provide insights and tools to enable their success

• Partnering with data experts across the business to advocate for single source of truth customer experience data

• Developing data tools, processes, and systems to scale discovery, measurement, and reporting in an agile product environment

The right candidate for this role will be an experienced and skilled leader, a deep analytical thinking, able to effectively navigate complex ambiguous scenarios, and passionate about driving impactful outcomes with data.

Key Responsibilities:

• 40% Collaborate with stakeholders, business partners, colleagues, developers and business analysts to deliver high quality analytics solutions

• 45% Data analytics with large volumes of data, using a wide variety of database applications / analytical tools including SQL, SAS, R, and python

• 5% Data cleansing, validation, testing

• 5% Enhancements / modifications to systems & procedures

• 5% Supporting end users, problem solving, troubleshooting

Direct Manager/Direct Reports:

• Reports to a Sr Manager, Decision Analytics.

• This position has 1 direct report

Travel Requirements:

• Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.

Physical Requirements:

• Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.

Working Conditions:

• Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Must be eighteen years of age or older.

• Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Two years or more leading and developing analytical teams

• Master's degree in Analytics, Finance, or Information Systems or related field is preferred

• Five to seven years of experience in analytics is preferred

• Expert experience in SQL, Tableau, R, Python and similar tools preferred

• Experience setting up and maintaining robust data processes

• Experience implementing LLM, NLP, and/or GenAI solutions

Minimum Education:

• The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.
